  A beautiful, flourishing nursery with abundant colors and a lovely butterfly encounter. The encounter was super inexpensive, and incredibly immersive. They had chickens, quail, and other critters inhabiting their nursery. A wonderful place to take a stroll and try something new!

  I was so impressed. It’s really a unique place and it’s obvious a lot of effort goes into keeping it up. The butterfly area is definitely worth it... not just for the butterfly’s but the adorable little Chinese button quail!! Lastly the staff were all extremely helpful and nice. And it’s family owned so that is always a plus. Can’t wait to go back!

  I bought live catapillarsfrom here. I would suggest you are careful with these. They were very tiny and did not survive. How ever, they were everything promised and arrived at my home alive and active.
  I also ordered 12 butterflies for release on a Sunday. I received them on Friday before with good instructions on the care. The butterflies were beautiful. All were healthy, flew immediately. The customer service was great on both accounts. Easy to reach and good advice and guidance.

  We took our daughter to the butterfly and bird enclosure today and it was really enjoyable. It turns out that when it's a bit chilly the butterflies move a bit slower as they warm up and that was perfect because our two and a half year old daughter was a bit overwhelmed at the beginning but she really enjoyed being able to get comfortable. We'll definitely be back.

  I raise butterflies and love Lucas nursery. I really miss the huge selection of butterfly rearing containers, host plants and rare/special plants since I moved to the panhandle. Every time I come to visit my mom, a stop by Lucas is on my list. I bought butterfly plants and air plants last year and almost all are still growing strong. Our crazy freezes this past winter killed a few.
  
  The selection is incredible and the prices are fair for the quality. They've also always been very helpful with questions about raising butterflies, garden pests and diseases. A large section of the nursery is dedicated to plants that attract butterfly and hummingbird plants
  
  The butterfly encounter has limited hours and is small, but I definitely recommend it, especially for kids. They have a good selection of butterflies and plants and seeing the life cycle is amazing. The shop also carries a wide selection of various gifts, books and butterfly raising supplies.
