Fort Mellon Park

Beautiful park with plenty of room to roam or sit and read or just simply relax. We found some friendly birds the day we were there by the pond and museum. We spotted a small gator in the lake just across the street. Beautiful large trees to lounge under and lots of tables with grills. Definitely enjoy this park. There's playground equipment and a splash zone for the kiddos.

This is a great park for the kids. They have a giant splash pad when the temperature is right and a giant playground. It's right on lake Monroe so the view is nice as well.

Kids love coming here they have playground equipment for a very wide age group from toddler and up. There are plenty of shaded places to sit in the shade and tables with pavilions are available. During summer they have an adjoining splash pad that available for a few dollars as well. There are 2 swings and usually kids are taking turns on those at well.

My favorite part of Sanford! Stuff for kids and grownups and nature lovers and sports enthusiasts! A great place to walk or just sit and watch the lake. You can fish!! You can watch boats. Bathrooms and water fountains and picnic pavilions. In the summer there's a splash pad for the little ones to get wet. It's the best improvement Sanford ever made.

This park is located in Sanford,Fl for those of you who have never been there. It is a great place for families to go because it is quite large and there are many things to do. What is great is they have a big water play area which is great in the summer for cooling off. The park is located across the road from Lake Monroe or Saint Johns River which runs North not South like most rivers do. There is a pond with ducks that love to be feed. On the waterfront side is a walkway for people who go for just walks, jog or have a leisurely stroll. You have a place to park your cars and get out for whatever, but I park and stay in my car and watch the sailboats or just watch the water. It is a nice place to just relax which I am finding out is not a bad idea. If you take a drive down to the waterfront you can see for yourself how nice it is and the different things you can do or just veg out.⛵????????
