I have been seeing Dr. VanHorn for several months now. She is an excellent psychologist and has helped me tremendously with my issues! I would recommend her to anyone looking for counseling.
I am a professional colleague and refer clients to them regularly. They do great work
As an adult and a mom of two young kids i started to realize I might have ADHD. After asking two primary care Docs about my suspicions and having them brush me off as just an overwhelmed mom, I was getting frustrated. That's when I reached out for help and thankfully found Dr Levrini. Not only was she able to help me but she really helped my whole family. The tricks and tools I have learned have been a benefit to my whole family. She is very understanding, helpful, knowledgeable and non-judgmental. She helped me to figure out why things can be harder for me, understand my new diagnosis of ADHD, the strengths and weaknesses and probably most importantly learn to accept my ADHD and work with it. So many things seem to make sense to me now. After seeing Dr Levrini for a few months I decided I would try medication too. The medications is helping but I am really glad I worked with Dr Levrini first. I don't think the medication I am taking would be as effective if I would have started with meds, not coaching. I am feeling great these days. I needed to understand my brain and why I am the way I am and why I do the things I do. I needed a coach to help me through this journey and diagnosis. Dr Levrini is an excellent coach. I am still learning tricks and tools to help myself function better day to day. My journey is far from over. My coach is on my side and I know she is pulling for me and all of her patients. She has a passion for helping people and families with ADHD and it truly shows.
My daughter saw Dr. Abigail Levrini starting in August. I reached out to in crisis mode before the Nocatee office opened. I am a nurse and educated myself on ADHD and the tricks I learned stopped working. She found an office where we were able to meet as the office was still being built. She also worked around my work schedule and was able to provide evening appts. My daughter saw her on a weekly basis for coaching and looked forward to her visits. My whole family learned a lot from working with Dr. Levrini. When things stopped working, Dr. Levrini changed it up. In December we scheduled a 1 month follow up. In that month's time I witnessed my family use the things we were taught and we even came up with our own if one was not working. It was a great experience for us and I am happy to know Nocatee has this resource right here in our community should we need to revisit in the future.
