Elvira was very courteous and checked up on me multiple times during my visit. You can tell she is very dedicated and genuinely cares. “This is REAL FLORIDA camping. Carry your water. CLEAN toilets. No RVs. Beautiful. Beautiful! On a Friday late afternoon, in January, still 5-6 open sites. Great hiking. FL TRAIL, connects to Yearling Trail. Nice hike to Silver Glen Spring for a swim on a warm day. Been camping FL for years. Highly recommend.”

We often grab live shrimp here, go out for the day - then return later for a cold beer at the restaurant. They usually have shrimp and mud minnows (unless no one has them). Shrimp can sometimes run a little small, but they may be smaller that day everywhere else as well, not sure. They sometimes have a tanker here with ethanol free, but not always, so call ahead. The tackle shop has most of your essential stuff, but not a full shop at all. If you're planning on launching at this ramp, be prepared for a mess of qualified captains.”
