  Both, the food and drinks were phenomenal. Our overall experience was great but we became slightly uncomfortable when my waitress (a Caucasian woman) recommended the "Plantation Tea" which, given that I am an African American woman, made my sister and myself quite bewildered. Not a great choice for the name or as a recommendation to say the least.

  Man did I used to slang back some Peach Elixirs here when I was 21... But that was 10 years ago and I am old and crusty now. My husband's cousin wanted to go grab a drink and chill nearby, so I thought maybe Mai Tai might still be the perfect place to do that. I was prepared to tell them about the good old days before they "changed this and changed that" and talk about how annoying people are, but I was wrong. Everything is exactly the same in the very best way possible. All of the drinks are awesome, that bomb 9 PM happy hour is still awesome, food is still awesome, service is still awesome, and the atmosphere inside and outside is still awesome. I'm happy Mai Tai will be back in our regular rotation and I'm not too old to put the flower from my drink in my hair!

  Fantastic place to eat. The food and drinks were great. You can’t beat the Ocean Atmosphere!! The Service was the best. One of Dayton’s best. You won’t regret coming here.

  Great local bar with a decent food selection. Amazing live music on the weekends. Always packed with locals. Great Mai Tai and host to a big battle.of the bands every year.
