“🦷 Root Canal Review: I was referred to Dr. Cline at Endodontic Partners from my primary dentist after a chicken tender damaged an already vulnerable tooth. (I’ve avoided Zaxby’s ever since!) She performed my first root canal on Dec. 22nd which wasn’t as awful as I had been forewarned. My jaw was more sore from being open for 2 hours, but the pain was minimal and I was able to easily participate in family photos on Christmas Eve. I went back to my primary dentist for crown placement on that tooth and its neighbor on Jan 10th. I then endured weeks of pain - literal weeks. Finally, my primary referred me back to Dr. Cline once I began having severe pain from heat - originally it was just cold. But the pain from cold was now lasting 10-15 minutes. Dr. Cline worked me in for an urgent consult and then she and her staff did their best to work me in around my crazy work schedule since I had been living on ibuprofen and acetaminophen around the clock for a month. The pain was incredibly severe and affecting my ability to eat, drink, and would even wake me up while sleeping. I was fearful each time I brushed my teeth because the cold sensitivity was lasting 10+ minutes. My second root canal was through my permanent crown and seemed to be easier than the first root canal. I commend Dr. Cline on her expertise of numbing appropriately. She was able to numb the immediate area appropriately compared to a previous dentist who numbed me down my neck, to my ear, and essentially half my face. Both times, I had Nancy as the assistant. I thoroughly enjoyed her each time. She was calm and compassionate. For me and many others, dental work is anxiety inducing so her demeanor was much appreciated. The worst part is the noise - power tools in your mouth never sounds good! And while I don’t mind the smell of cautery, knowing that is in your mouth is a little anxiety inducing too. But once I was numbed up the first time, I started to fall asleep. I highly recommend Dr. Cline and would appreciate going back to her if I need any further endodontic work done.”
