The Dr's are really limited to 30 minutes or less with each patient, so make sure you write down your questions and concerns. “We have had Optimum insurance since moving back to FL in 2016. Since then I have had a stroke requiring months of rehab. The physical therapists at the hospital recommended a rehab that wasn’t on our list. I sent a short letter to Optimum explaining why my medical team thought that was a better option and they approved it immediately. My husband and I have each had a knee replacement and several small surgeries. We have found Optimum to be excellent. I’m a retired nurse and was really concerned about going with an advantage plan, but I’m so happy we did. It is very difficult to navigate the medical system now. We have an excellent primary and I think that is the key to getting good medical care whatever insurance you decide on.”

“My Mom, has been in Beneva Lakes Assisted Living Center for two years now. I've visited twice for four weeks during that time, saw the staff operate, Nurses provide care and overall cleanliness daily. The facility is well maintained, the Nurses and Receptionists are ALL friendly and go out of the way to help. The rooms are large, there's a game room, a library, Nurses stations, daily package/mail delivery, and a nice dining room. Even the hallways always look good. My mom, unexpectedly lost her vision to cataracts, which makes double tough for her until cataract surgery, but she has been managing well with help from the staff. The one thing that all the residents here complain about is the food, but I am told they are working on improving it. THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS YOU TO ALL THE WONDERFUL NURSES AND RECEPTIONISTS THAT TAKE SUCH GOOD CARE OF MY MOM.”

“Dr. Maldonado-Garcia is very compassionate and caring, she is incredibly knowledgeable and also relatable. She gave me a referral to a specialist after I requested it; which was very easy to set up as the office looked for a specialist that would work with my insurance on my behalf within a few days and I was able to extend it with ease, since I was never able to visit the specialist until after the original referral expired. Deborah Soto, the nurse practitioner is an amazing provider. I had scheduled an emergency appointment and she saw me on such short notice when my PCP was unavailable. She is very thorough, she really cares and takes her time and listens to you. Her bedside manner was amazing. Overall, she is one of the best providers I have ever been to. It is convenient that the office has many in house services, like they are able to do blood work for labs and they have an ultrasound technician, etc. The medical assistants are all very experienced, friendly and professional. Excellent phlebotomy skills. It is very easy to make an appointment, they have a call center with people - my favorite is Mercedes, whenever I speak to her she is always very positive, well-informed, helpful and kind! My only qualm with this office is like many other medical offices, the wait times are incredibly long. It is a very, very busy practice. The staff at the front desk are sometimes not the nicest, but they seem short staffed and over-worked so I don't blame them.”
