“It's our neighborhood donut shop. Get there early because they tend to sell out of donuts quickly. Some of my favorites are the coconut, pink frosted, pumpkin (seasonal), strawberry, and maple bacon. The glazed croissants are my absolute favorite. I also love their guava filled donuts as well as the custard filled ones. They have savory items such as pigs on a blanket. Some with jalapeño and cheese. They have fritters, turnovers, cinnamon rolls, and much more. I've never had their bagel breakfast sandwiches, but I can vouch for the croissant ones. They are delicious! The breakfast sandwich doesn't look like much, but it's served hot, fresh, and tasty. It's a very satisfying breakfast. The shop is always very clean, and the staff are happy and friendly. The lines go pretty quickly too. There's plenty of parking because it's in a strip mall. The only negative is that it closes at 1pm. It's also closed on Monday. Check it out if you happen to be near Lumsden and Lithia Pinecrest. It's another local favorite.”

“The food was simply delicious! We had the Pulled Pork Meal, 1/2 Chicken Meal, with Collard Greens, Baked Beans and Cole Slaw. We also had 2 drinks. The chicken was not dry and flavorful. The pork had great flavor as well. The greens had a nice smoked flavor and the beans were just right and not too sweet. We were so full, didn't have a chance to eat the cole slaw. We plan another visit to try the Mac and Cheese and deserts. The 2 meals and two 32oz drinks cost us around $38 dollars.”

Personally I hate the terms servers, waiters and waitresses. I had Sarah as my hostess and I was impressed. She had a large group of around 30 people or more celebrating a birthday that she was taking care of so it took awhile for her to get to me. When she passed by my table she would stop and apologize about the food taking awhile to come out. I realize there are 30+ people who just ordered food ahead of me and I wouldn't expect my food to be served in record time nor would I expect my empty glass to be refilled immediately. Basically what I'm saying folks is pay attention to what is going on around you because it's not always just about you. Tip accordingly.😎 Updated 8-7-22 I guess the best way I could describe The Dog House is it has a great mix of young and old and you can enjoy being around either one or both. They have a lot of different things going on so I suggest following them on Facebook to find a day you would enjoy the most. The woman that answered the phone was very nice (and she was working alone when we called), the delivery was fast (and the driver was attentive) and the food was fabulous. You can tell the crust is homemade and the sauce had a delicious sweetness about it. Generous toppings. Not greasy at all! Ordered a cheese pizza, Hawaiian, garlic munchies and spaghetti.
