Drinks were brought to the table quickly, however they do seem to be a bit short staffed. I order pick up orders 1-2 times a week when I'm in town and not once have they ever gotten it wrong. They even pay attention to the special requests for extra toppings. Yesterday I think there was a mix up with some of the online orders and they even called me as we went down the street to make sure our order was correct. Tender and falling off the bone. I chose to try both sweet sauce and the spicy sauce and combined they were perfect for me. Either alone would have been good too. I chose to try the corn fritters. Perfect fry on them and the cinnamon and brown sugar butter dip was really good with the fritters. My husband had the fried grouper sandwich and he said the fry on that was perfect too. The only note is we’d ask for crispy for the French Fries next time. This place is on the Alafia and the beer shed is right next door. Really relaxing meal on the water. Nothing fancy at all, shorts and flips casual with boat docking.”

Ketchup was out so we asked for ketchup and the guy who gave us the ketchup packets was really nice. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because the floor seemed like it was mopped in grease. We had to be very careful not to slip across the entire surface of the restaurant. Again the food was great, the service was 50/50 but the floor made the place feel like it had an uncleanly vibe.”

“Oh my goodness our trip here was fantastic! My husband suggested we go today as its a Monday and we went at 3, we definitely recommend that as it's slammed most of the time and going at this time ensured we were seated immediately. Our server, Katie, was so sweet and attentive. We got the gator tail bites and shared a pulled pork sandwich. The sandwich and fries were phenomenal, and the gator bites were excellently seasoned to the point that they really didn't need a sauce for flavor it was just complimentary. We personally weren't fans of the gator sauce the gator tail came with, but Katie said we could get an additional sauce on the side to try and we HAVE to recommend that you substitute the Lemon Pepper sauce for the Gator sauce. The lemon pepper sauce is almost like a buffalo based sauce without being too spicy. It has an amazing acidic lemon flavor and it went perfectly with the gator tail and complimented it better than the Gator sauce! Definitely try out this place, but if you're pressed for time and unable to wait long going late afternoon on a weekday seems to be your best bet as the food is so worth it. 👍👍”
