He is a sweet and innocent young boy, whose good natured disposition could easily be a target for bullies. The atmosphere at this school is warm and safe; students learn a deep respect for each other that is evident in every activity. The young students are taught good citizenship, patriotism, and acceptance. Our son was welcomed with open arms by an extremely efficient, compassionate, and competent staff. “For the four years that I went to this school I never had one thing to complain about when it came to the school itself. Brand new, very clean all the time, and definitely not in a bad area at all. Some of the teachers could have been doing a little bit better of a job because they paled in comparison with those who did their job perfectly. I know that the school has gone through quite a few different principal changes over the past 7 years that it has been operating, but I feel like none of them were great and none of them were bad. They just could never find the right one and I hope that the school does find that right principal very soon. When you ask most students who went to the school what they thought about it, they would probably tell you that it sucked, that the teachers sucked, that the other students sucked. That is only because they didn't have another school to compare it to. My older sister went to two different highschools for her education and I know what both were like. Both were NOTHING like Sunlake because it was a brand new school with infinite possibilities. I wish she would have been able to attend SLHS because I feel like she would have enjoyed her senior year much more if she had. All in all a good school with it's normal "highschool" problems that when looked back upon in future years will be insignificant.”

The warmth and peacefulness was palpable, but more importantly, the kids and teachers looked genuinely happy and engaged. Almost 3 years later, this community feels like family and I couldn’t be happier. Sol is an absolute gem in Miami. Not only are the teachers loving and thoughtful but the academics are second to none. The attention is individualized to each child and kids learn so much from reading and writing to math skills and science while actually enjoying it. The daily activities they plan are creative, engaging, meaningful, and educational. My daughter has grown leaps and bounds here and loves going to school! “I'm so grateful my daughter is able to attend pre-k here. I was able to switch part-way into the pre-k school year as the previous place I had my daughter was terrible and she watched TV all day. My child comes home with crafts nearly every day, talks about "green/red choices" and how great all of her teachers are. “THE BEST SCHOOL EVER! As parents we always want to make the right decision for our children, and we are so grateful to have chosen Bloomingdale Children's House. Our son attended this school from his early 2 to almost 6 years of age. He started with Ms. Juliette's class, then moved on to Ms. Terjiana's class and then to Mr. Tim's class. Each year has been such an enriching year for our son. The school provided an extremely strong academic foundation to our son. Along with academics, they taught him good discipline, manners and etiquettes. They taught him to love and be respectful towards animals. Our son enjoyed the extracurricular activities that he had in the school like music class, gardening, art and crafts, knit loom scarf and blanket, story-time, reading in the library. They made gingerbread houses during Christmas and the teachers organize a great Christmas program every year. The class sizes are smaller and hence the teachers provide 1:1 attention to the students and they make sure that each student is challenged well according to their potential. The teachers demonstrate the concepts by relating them to real life examples that makes it easy for the kids to understand making their learning so much fun. I highly recommend this school. Thank you, Bloomingdale Children's house, for shaping our son the way he is today, and we could not have done it without your incredible efforts. “Went here when I was 6 years old in 1999. It was a great school, filled with energy, humor, fun, and magic. Learning was fun and field trips were like a gift from the gods. Toys, video games, TV, music, and movies played a massive part in the magic of this school. Teachers cared despite my learning disabilities at the time. Bullying CAN happen, but its comes down to fighting your own battles to helped me grow. I don't know how much has changed since graduating but I can say it was a great school during my time here.”
