Chesser Island Boardwalk Trailhead

Great 1.5 mile walk. 0.75 mile walk to tower and 0.75 walk back.. Well worth. Excellent view on top of tower.

This 3/4 mile hike up the boardwalk thru the swamp is amazing on its own but you add in the 50 foot observation tower at the end makes this over the top amazing 👏. Bring water out was 80 on the 3rd of February not that was bad.

Amazing place with a large boardwalk to an observation tower. Great views of this pristine area, very quiet and remote, a perfect place to decompress. Highly recommend!

One of the nicest walks I've taken in a long time. The tower does not have a 360° view. It might 180°, but I certainly prefer the shade camouflaging the 40 foot structure. Great, easy walk (1.5 miles round trip) to a tall tower that allows for an expansive, gorgeous view of some of the Okefenokee Swamp. The boardwalk has multiple shaded areas along the way to allow you to step out of the direct sun, which is nice on a hot, humid day.
