Comforting Arms

A neighbor recommended Comforting Arms to us. As a retired health care professional i wanted the best for my spouse, and i got the best. This is a group of caring health professionals. This is a local Atlanta organization and we were dealing with providers who got to know the patient, treated him in a very caring manner (even if he made a mess) and within 2 months of daily service made my spouse back into a functional family member. I owe them big time! Thank you all. if i need help again, you guys n gals are on the top of my list.

Last night we had a storm that knocked out power and brought down a tree across the only street entering my parent's neighborhood. The night before all this happened, the Comforting Arm's caregiver anticipated the fact that flashlights with new batteries, candles, and a plan to get to their house was necessary. This morning, at her suggestion, she parked her car a mile away in a safe parking area and walked to their house in order to be there with them, dispense needed medications, and care for our parents. I love Comforting Arms!

Comforting Arms has been a life-saver for us. Both my husband and I work so trying to help his mom was challenging for us. They set her up with an amazing caregiver who goes above and beyond. Thank you all for caring and for providing such a needed service.

On February 29, 2020, my Mom fell while walking to dinner in her retirement community and broke her wrist. Her injury severely limited her ability to do most things on her own, including getting up out of her chair, off the couch, or even out of bed. It was clear that we had to find home health care to support her during this time.

After working briefly with another company, Phil Graiser and Comforting Arms was recommended to us by the management at The Arbor. This was Thursday, March 12, the day that the entire world shut down due to the coronavirus, including The Arbor. We had to act quickly in order to line up home health care. Phil came to my Mom's apartment within the hour to interview my Mom and I was present. I could tell immediately by his interview style and questions that Phil was thoughtful, caring, and skilled in determining and understanding the needs and personalities of his clients. Phil was able to set up coverage beginning the next day when The Arbor went into a total lockdown from any outside visitors besides care workers.

My Mom had home health coverage from Comforting Arms for roughly 13 hours a day for the first several months. Every single one of the care workers was helpful, caring, and took a vested interest in assisting my Mom in all her needs, who can be quite demanding. This coverage went on for several months and continues to this day, at least for the morning hours. What was most notable and unexpected was that my Mom became close with several of the Comforting Arms home are professionals. This was a very unexpected yet positive outcome seeing that she was not allowed to have any visitors during this time. So essentially, Comforting Arms became my Mom’s social interaction and connection with the outside world during the earlier months of the coronavirus.

I cannot say enough positive things about Phil Graiser and everyone who works at Comforting Arms. They go above and beyond to take care of their clients and do it in a way that runs counter to the negative reputation of the industry. If more companies were like Comforting Arms, this industry would have a gleaming reputation.

We have taken advantage of the wonderful caregivers and staff at Comforting Arms for a period of 6 months, and wholeheartedly recommend their service. Jeanetta and Melissa have come alternately in the daytime to help our elderly parents with light housekeeping, meals, medications, and excellent companionship.
