At my first lesson with Al, he expressed to me his concern about a $1,750 Spanish made classical guitar I just purchased from someone else. I verified with another guitar shop that was correct, so I returned it right away and got a full refund. He recommended a much higher quality guitar I found for $1,000, and no you don't need a guitar this expensive to get started. I have played guitar for many years yet Al was able to give me some great suggestions about my playing technique and more. Not many guitar instructors have the wisdom and knowledge he does about guitars and music that Al has.
