Dropped in here twice in a month to go down the river. Clean, Easy to get in and out. Great fun.
It's a small hike (with all your gear, it can be cumbersome) to the river's edge, but it's all good from there. It's easy to get in because of the concrete stadium steps they have going right into the water. Nice slow float, with a few stops along the way (there's a 20-25 ft cliff that you can jump from at about the halfway point), and it lasted about 2 hours. We did paddle through the small rapids that pop up from time to time, so that may have made it go quicker than others experience. It was a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon in August.
Get a paddle !!! . Super chill and fun . Older shuttle driver ( don't know name ) amazing . It was a lot going on the day I arrived and he handled everything so well . He was a big part of the experience going well and I just want to give him credit .
Sidenote : When they say keep right. KEEP RIGHT . That 300ft to boating ramp sign means you need to be all the way to the right !!!!
Beautiful hiking trail. Not very challenging, fairly even a few roots to look out for. Great views of the Chattahoochee River and the birds and animals that call it home. I took my 4 year old and she loved it and didn't have too hard of a time walking the trail
