“Dr. Rodrigo, I became a patient of yours in December 2012, as my day to day doctor. My main issue was hypertension, which I monitored carefully until July 2013 when the medication I was on could no longer keep it down. You referred me to a cardiologist whom ran a strength test. I didn't finish the exam, having been unable to run any faster beyond a certain point. Immediately the cardiologist took me back to the office and told me return in two weeks. The results were not good because 4 arteries were found partially blocked. That finding required me to see another physician, a surgeon, who in less than 2 hours ordered that I needed to undergo bypass surgery with less than 12 hours notice. The surgery the following day, a quad bypass, was a success. Had it not been for your decision to act after not being able to increase my dosage to control my hypertension, I would not be writing these lines.
