“We went in to place a carryout order. The staff were helpful. We ordered 2 large specialty pies, the meat lovers and the BBQ brisket. Both were delicious. The BBQ brisket could have had more brisket, but was good still. We also had the dozen garlic knots, which were yummy. And we had 3 flavors of Gelato (raspberry, lemon, salted caramel). That alone was worth revisiting the restaurant!! Pies were huge, garlic knots delish, and Gelato Very very good! **Important to note** This restaurant is NOT inside the Walmart. It is in the row of shops in front of the Walmart.”

Bally Budaejjigae

Address: 1291 Old Peachtree Rd NW Suite 201, Suwanee, GA 30024, USA

Restaurant

“I'm embarrassed to admit that as a Korean American in Atlanta, one, I didn't know that this beautiful dish even existed until a few years ago, and two, I didn't know restaurants like this existed. Budaejjigae found its provenance in war-torn Korea, when citizens used what little they had - along with US rations such as luncheon meat, processed cheese, and hot dogs - to create a spicy and deeply satisfying hot pot meal that has now taken Korean street stalls and restaurants by storm. It's not hard to make, but it's difficult to find it outside someone's home...until now. Bally Budaejjigae is tucked away in the corner of an overwhelming complex of restaurants and shops (with Assi Plaza, a Korean supermarket, as its retail anchor), but it's well worth the short and confused search around the labyrinthine square. The folks who work there, particularly the woman who served us, greeted us warmly and didn't blink an eye at our request for an English menu even though we clearly spoke Korean. There's a convenient doorbell-like button at the side of the table that calls over a waitress without you needing to use your voice, and a gas grill waits patiently at your table for the yummies to come. And boy, was it yummy. The kimchi-based broth is spicy, savory, and made me expel a happy "ahhhhh" before I even realize I said something. Orders are per serving size, and the 'Medium 2-3 serving' pot came with rice cakes, tons of sausage slices, spam, and bean spouts (it typically also has ground beef, but they amicably left it out for me when they heard I avoid meat). There are also add-ons, and the tofu and American cheese we chose added the most sumptuous touch. My spendthrift husband balked a little when he discovered we'd essentially be paying a whole dollar per slice of American cheese, but he clammed up once he tasted what that melted loveliness did to the taste of our broth. The accompanying rice comes in a hot metal bowl, which is thoughtfully placed in a wooden base so that clumsy dummies like me don't burn themselves on the servingware. The kettle they bring you is so that you can scoop out the rice and pour water in to cover the rice line. By the end of your meal, all the tasty burnt bits (like the coveted socarrat, or caramelized paella bits, at the bottom of a pan) can create a nice, warm rice porridge for you to end your meal with. I also suspect this makes cleaning far easier on the workers at the end of the meal. Win-win. We had to drive nearly forty minutes out of our way to get here, but by the time we tumbled out of the restaurant with distinctly rounder bellies, we weren't sorry we came.”

El Caporal Mexican Restaurant

Address: us 29, 1184 Lawrenceville Hwy suite B, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, USA

Lon U

Address: 5005 Peachtree Pkwy #860, Peachtree Corners, GA 30092, USA

Restaurant

“We had a party of 5 for dinner on Saturday, 12/24/22. They were super understaffed. Service was super slow, but it was Christmas Eve, so maybe it was an anomaly. Here’s what I tried: - Tom Yam Soup ($6.20): Good, but spicy! Came with a generous amount of tofu. - Spring Rolls ($4): Not worth it, don’t recommend. - Pineapple Chicken ($14): Good! Big portion! - Black Pepper Beef ($17 + $2 for fried rice): Didn’t come with as much food as the other dishes. I’ve had way better black pepper steak at other restaurants. Wouldn’t recommend. The fried rice was also not worth it. Barely any taste. - Sesame Chicken ($13.95): Good! Big portion! Others in my party got Broccoli Mushroom with Tofu ($13.50) and Snow Peas with Tofu ($13.50) and really liked both! Overall, generous portions. I wouldn’t come out of my way to eat here, but the food was decent!”

Tannery Row Ale House

Address: 554 W Main St, Buford, GA 30518, USA

Restaurant

“We were surprised that there was a $25 cover charge per person to get in. We have been to 3 separate Suwanee Beer Fest events and rode the shuttle so that we could eat after the events. This time it seems that they changed the status and there was no way to tell? Anyway, we paid and are hopeful that the music is good. We ordered drinks and food and everything came really quick this time which was nice Everyone was pleased with the limited event menu. We would still come back but it would be nice if we knew in advance that there would be a cover charge.”

Burger King

Address: 445 Grayson Hwy, Lawrenceville, GA 30045, USA

Restaurant

“I don't do Burger King to often, and this one lived up to expectations. Not bad, just highly mediocre. Greeting was a blank stare that waited for me to speak. I ordered, food was pretty quick and OK. Burger was well built and done, fries were hot. Looks like some repairs are being made inside that do not effect the dining. Finish those up, a good cleaning and a greeting; place would look more appealing.”

Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

Address: 2230 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Duluth, GA 30097, USA

Restaurant Store

“We stopped in to try a steak burger and fries and a shake. Great service and yum food. We would come back again, thanks for the good fun!”
