“Staff at the The Retreat are very caring, they helped make the transition as easy as possible. They go above and beyond to engage the residents In the activities that they have regularly planned. We were pleasantly shocked when they told us that Mom was attending the game and puzzle events. She has never been a social person, but with their gentle, continuous invitations and loving persuasions, she is enjoying being with people. Even during Covid restrictions and quarantine, they made sure residents had stimulation, Santa even came to visit. Mom’s not one to give much praise, but she has said time and again “they make the best broccoli and cheese soup”. Mom’s been a resident in the apartments in the main building there 7 months now, and has settled in quite nicely and made some friends. We are thrilled to have found The Retreat and have been very pleased with the staff. The facility has recently been beautifully remodeled and now feels even more like home for the residents. It’s a bit of a drive for us, but definitely worth it knowing Mom is happy and well taken care of.”
