“Recently decided to switch a family member to this practice. Patience is a virtue. I waited on hold …… not just with this office but many others call volumes are high everywhere. This practice was worth the time on hold. Most importantly Dr. Lakhanpal the time he spent explaining into detail about what was going on…. Made it so worth the time. Yes, I was frustrated about the phones but when the manager and staff greets you with a smile and you have doctor who actually spends time and doesn’t rush or get impatient with an elderly patient that is what matters to me. Manager stepped in after our appointment and apologized. It was genuine and kind just like the staff was. Main point is sometimes it worth the “wait” keep up the great work. Especially the TEAMWORK. So thankful we made the change. This really made me happy and feel that I made the right decision ….. I mentioned our next visit if she is in a wheelchair they would gladly come down and help. Thank you for not letting me lose faith. This has been a struggle. Thanks for making it easy.”

“My mother was a resident her for several years. I have nothing but positive reves, reviews and comments about the staff, housekeeping, maintenance, activities, and food services. They all made my mother feel as if she was at home with a staff to wait on her specifically. I speak of them as often as I can when I find out people are have issues with other facilities or with the loved ones who need special care. Truly an awesome place. “Just like the other reviewers, I think Brittany is a great speech pathologist. My ENT doctor referred me to her as the best chance to recover the range and function I lost when not singing for two years during the pandemic. As Brittany says, the vocal cords are like any other muscle and have to be exercised to regain function. I thought I might never sing again, but working weekly with Brittany gave me hope and motivation, and I am making progress now, confident I will be able to rejoin my choirs when Covid permits.”

“They always have what I need and I love going here to find nice inexpensive gifts! My fiance knows I'm probably gonna stop here on my way home 😊. Update January 2021. In the times of a pandemic there must be a better way to handle the long lines and wait time especially considering that I'm currently witnessing two attendants in the store work but only one is on the register while the other stocks. Best business practice is break down the line then go back to stocking. This store had this problem prior to the pandemic. It makes me wonder how their cleanliness is while this is going on. I did not see the cashier at the time sanitize her hands once while working to registers at once and handling almost 20 customers. Cant wait for this store to be under better management. Update May 2022! Remodeled and new items. I'll have to get use to remembering where items are but awesome selection to choose from. I love gifting items and usually grab little trinkets, gift bags, etc to decorate. They did sell clothes but I have not seen many , just basic t shirt/underwear. They also have a small grocery section that offers fresh food. Always delighted to have a healthy option to choose from for the family. I am a snacker and this has helped me choose a banana versus a bag of chips 🤦🏾♀️, hey its keeping me health conscious! They are still working on organizing which is to be expected since we're recovering from the pandemic. Staff shortages everywhere so we'll just have to be patient. The manager here is awesome! Always friendly and helpful! Give her a raise she deserves it!”

“We were pretty upset when we first arrived at Avalon because It turned out to be primarily a nursing home not the rehab resource we needed - we thought. Our 99 yr old mother was ordered into rehab after a minor stroke last month so Avalon was a shocker to us! It took a couple of days for us to see this diamond in the rough. It is clean, the food is pretty good but most of all the everyday staff is exceptional and the rehab specialists were wonderful. Patient, caring, helpful to the family and to the patient. Yes, it is an older nursing home with old cheap blinds, needs a new coat of paint, rooms are very small with miss-matched furniture and it has many patients, some very helpless, in wheelchairs in the halls during the day but don't judge this book by its cover. I gave it 4 stars, not 5 because the management was less than friendly and hardly ever seen. The staff is what counts and they carried the day. A special thanks to Jemeka!”
