“Theami Montessori is more than a school, it is a community; a place that fosters personal development and scholastic achievement all while including parents in the process. Theami allows students to take charge of their learning via quality, certified AMI instruction, which utilizes precise lessons that set a balanced foundation for continuing education. The class sizes are small, but ample. Each grade is a level comprised of a 2-3 year age gap. This method allows children to teach one another; Younger students are able to observe the skills they will master, as older students acknowledge how much they have progressed. Students are not categorized and burdened by the expectation that they must meet certain scholastic standards. In fact, Theami rarely utilizes homework, never gives grades, and only gives "test" occasionally for practice. Instead of conventional methods, which assume students need incentives for learning (i.e. grades, stickers, parties, etc.), Theami Montessori understands that children are naturally inquisitive and interested in learning; Achievement is the ultimate reward. Through promoting hands-on, self-paced, challenging, and collaborative lessons, Theami encourages divergent thinking that allows for individualized learning. While one student may be working on long division, another may be learning about culture. The instructor moves around the classroom instead of trying to teach the same lesson to 20 students. In doing so, students develop a love for learning that is unmet by traditional methods. Theami, instructors are well trained and have a successful history in education with more than 25 years of experience. The instructors take pride in each student individually and understand the need for children to be well rounded, socially and academically. They are patient, kind, encouraging, and helpful; A shinning example for students. After witnessing the progress of Theami students, including my own son, I can confidently say that this school is unique among Montessori schools in Henry County and superior to any traditional style of education. “Rising Star Montessori is an amazing Academy. This Private school has such a diversity of students and learning experiences. This school meets each child at their own level following the montessori methodology. My husband and I wanted to put our gifted daughter in a school that was smaller and not over crowded or where my child was just another test score or number and could allow her to work at her pace. Rising Star's staff and teachers go above and beyond any school I have ever seen or worked with in my professsional career. They truly are accessible and support not only the students but the whole family. This school not only applies out of the box thinking in the classroom but also provides amazing education by instilling two languges (i.e. Spanish & Sign Language), Art, and Practical life skills that my child will use everyday for the rest of her life. Lastly, I wanted to say how I truly appreciate seeing the tremendous growth within our daughter since she started in the Primary B class with Ms Lee. (the best teacher ever)! We look forward to her continuing to grow into the next class with Ms. Gail who literally will teach her everything she will need for her college years.”

I don't ever post reviews, but coming from a mama who used corporate daycares (discovery point, kid to kid, etc) I figured if you were looking into this place for your kid, you'd wanna know first hand. My daughter isn't just another paycheck to them, when she's having a hard time they hold her, when she started having trouble with her speech, they reached out and told me options to move forward with speech therapy....Julie and Wanda are so kind and considerate. I'm amazed everyday at how sweet all the teachers are. They update me regularly during the day to let me know when she's had diaper changes and naps. Yall need to trust me on this one. Never again will I go back to another corporate establishment.”
