Spent the afternoon with my mom and this most incredibly interesting and helpful man, Mr. Jewell, out in Cartersville. He didn't have the specific thing we were looking for at his salvage place, but drove with us to another place to find it. I learned that he worked for Coke for 20+ years, worked as a pastor for 31 years, and has had this salvage place for 35 years, which his father had before that. He went well out of his way to help us, and in turn deeply blessed my heart with his stories. He spent 2 1/2 hours with us!!! I can't really describe WHY he was so amazing- incredible work ethic, truly loves Jesus and his wife, has done amazing things living in Cartersville his whole life- but he just emanated JOY. LOVE. HAPPINESS. CARE. CONCERN. I don't know what it was, but I sure hope I impact people one day the way that he does.”
