Banzai Adventures

We booked a 1 hour trip with them in December 2022 hoping to see whales. Alas, we did not see any, but that's the way it goes sometimes and we knew it was pretty early in the season. However, we did get to see a pod of spinner dolphins up close, saw some Galapagos sharks, and spotted some sea turtles on our way back into the marina. Our captain did a great job trying to put us on some whales and despite us not seeing any, we had a great time and a glad we booked with Banzai. Having the entire boat to ourselves was awesome as well.

Awesome afternoon adventure with so many marine life sightings. If you've never seen sharks up close, here is your chance. The ride was smooth and comfortable, and the views of the north shore are magnificent. You can't get those views unless you're in a boat. My six-year-old was squealing with delight as we headed back to the harbor. I'm so glad she got to experience the joy and freedom of being out at sea. She now knows that turtles and whales and sharks and fish are in the ocean, not just in the screen in Finding Nemo. Thanks so much to Captain Jared for a memorable time!!

This is a great family run business! We went out with Captain Hunter and had an absolutely wonderful experience! He knows so much about ocean life. Five humpback whales came right up to the boat with the engines turned off. It was so quiet and surreal with only the sounds of the whales. At one point we had sharks swimming right up to the boat and whales just off the bow, all at the same time. We also got to see the huge North Shore waves up close! This was definitely the best tour we have been on! Our 7 year old loved it and so did her grandpa! I recommend it for kids and people of all ages!

It’s the perfect tour, small group, great people, and incredible views of the island. Jared was a real captain, the surf was huge (which is what we wanted to see) and he got us right on the edge of it and made sure we all felt comfortable and were safe! I’m from Utah so seeing and being on the ocean was truly an incredible experience. Feeling the power and energy of the waves as you floated over them, while watching big wave surfers tow surf into them was something I’ll never forget. We even saw whales, sharks, and a turtle popped up to say hi. I can’t say enough about this adventure. I’m not really sure what I expected but I can promise you I was blown away. Plus the açaí bowls across the street are the best on the island, great to enjoy after the boat adventure. Thank you! Russ

We did the 1 hour tour with Banzai Adventures and it was action packed! Leaving the harbor we got to watch the surfers catch some waves at Ali’i Beach Park then we cruised along the coast of the North Shore. It’s really cool to get the perspective of seeing the landmarks you know from offshore. Waimea Bay and Valley are stunning to look into from the boat’s point of view. The captain (Jared) was so knowledgeable about the area and named off all the famous surf breaks we’ve heard of but didn’t know the exact location. We were treated to an amazing full rainbow then we headed out to go see some sharks. We were not disappointed! We came upon a large group of Galapagos Sharks that were beautiful to watch swimming underwater. I highly recommend taking a tour with Banzai. We were well taken care of, felt so safe the entire time, got some amazing photos and made memories to last a lifetime!
