Lively place to get info and also get a yummy tree at after your hike upto the summit.
This place is great. It is historic in it's own right being a volcano that helped create the island of Oahu. The hike to the top is neat, however it is a big tourist attraction and lots of people. The virlew from the top is epic, but you'd better take plenty of water as there are no vendors, restrooms, or water fountains except for near the entrance. There is a gift shop and a food truck. I'd advise some Dole Whip after the hike to cool down and recuperate. Will definitely do it again.
Take perfect information before you start trek / hike. You need comfortable shoes and bottles of water before you start.
Was an amazing hike with great treats at the bottom
We were pleased they had a good concession stand with hot dogs, hambergers and food that was not "junk". The Pinapple stand was great for the refreshing drink after the hike. Washrooms and water fountain / bottle filling station was helpful. Bring water with you on the hike.
