Kodama Koi Farm

I ordered six koi from Kodama during their spring sale of Study Tategoi. I'm just a hobbyist but I've been looking for an affordable Aka Matsuba and found it here. You pick your variety and they select the actual koi. I was very pleased with their selections and would definitely highly recommend them. Shipping was overnight from Hawaii to West Virginia, too. Fish arrived in great shape!

I have bought over 20 fish from this place and each time I have been impressed with the quality of the fish. Buying Nishikigoi From Japan through Hawaii is a bit stressful because of the flying times to deliver. Each time I stress, but the fish have arrived in perfect health. Highly recommend this company you won’t find domestic fish like these.

I ordered 3 of the study fish in March, they came with the water temp in the bag of 42 degrees and despite careful acclimation all 3 died, 2 within hours and the Benigoi the next evening. I have been emailing back and forth with Christina being assured the replacements were being shipped, 2 different dates now, no fish have arrived, no notice they were NOT sent and I took days off work to receive them.
//5/24/20 Erin has taken over my account and has done a fantastic job rectifying the situation. Expecting my new Koi on Wednesday, happy to have someone that communicates openly and keeps me informed every step. These are the people that make a strong company, I hope Taro realizes Erin's value.

In February I visited Hawaii and had the chance to visit their beautiful koi farm. It was a great experience to meet Taro and the other friendly staff, who gave us a pre-scheduled tour of the facility. There is such a large range of koi they have stocked and you can tell they really care about the health of their fish. I look forward to one day coming back to visit the farm and seeing the latest Tosai koi they have available.

If you want to visit, I recommend contacting ahead of time or finding our the date of a future open house event on their website. It is also a bit complicated to get through the entrance, so they prefer you contact the staff before visiting.
