Hawaiian Princess Resort

We were invited here by a condo owner. One bedroom unit was small but more modern inside than expected, bed was comfortable and most everything was provided, even beach chairs and towels. A little trouble checking in, I guess, due to it being Easter weekend. Unfortunately, there's a lot of homeless people ,but we always felt safe. I hope all the stray animals are being neutered and fed. We saw turtles the first morning and many people snorkeling, doing yoga.

Right on the beach. Condos with washer/dryer. Not close to downtown. About an hour out but ma/pa, fast food near by if you don't want to cook. I would try to do local markets for fish/fruit/veggies. Otherwise expensive at grocery store unless your military and can use commissary. Good place to just sit and relax with the ocean at your feet

Overall have enjoyed staying here. The staff are friendly, the property is in good condition, the beachfront is great. The reason for only 4 stars is not the facility, but the time it takes to get to the rest of the island. Rush "hour" is bad. If you book an early time anywhere and do not want to worry about being late. Plan on leaving 2 hours ahead of time. It may only take you 70 minutes, but could take the full two hours+. So recommendation is to leave after 8:30.
We did have an issue with the refrigerator. Called the office and in 15 minutes, Tom was at our room working on the fridge. Again, the staff are great!!!
If I was going to do my vacation again, I would book a few days in Honolulu and the rest of the time here.
