  The Flicks is a Boise landmark. Small intimate venue with a laid back vibe. Drinks and small bites available. Typically not your run-of-the-mill movie choices-- the owners are very selective. Thought provoking movie choices. A hidden gem.

  It's a neat little place to see old, indie, or foreign movies. I've been there 3 times with my mom. It's an enjoyable atmosphere, although the food is pretty pricey.
  
  But they do serve real nice food! There's much more than popcorn, soda, and candy.
  
  They even gave me a free cherry pepper on my plate. I don't like peppers but it's the thought that counts.

  I love going to the Flicks. For $70 you can buy 10 tickets. Every seat is great in this small, intimate theatre. They show a lot of the movies, including the Shorts, that you'll here about at the Academy Awards. You can buy food and drinks at the counter and bring it back to your seat! Or you have a plate of something delicious, like their lasagna before or after the show. I really enjoy going. I'm comfortable going alone or with a friend. It's always so comfortable and the staff make you feel right at home.

  Boise's independently owned "Art" cinema. Four screens showing a wide variety of new and classic (but interesting) releases. Truly a local icon...I don't know anyone who doesn't love it. The theaters are quite small, as is the cafe, but it makes for a cozy atmosphere (which is probably one of the reasons it has had such a loyal following). Good food, beer and wine and a great movie - what could be better. Large library of dvd classics for rent. Spend a few minutes in here and you're sure to find something to take home. Small parking lot can be a challenge so I would suggest getting there early to get a space. Highly recommend.

  Always a great place to watch some foreign or independent films. Delicious popcorn and beer and wine served and allowed inside. Decent American food. A patio area for the warmer months. Parking can be an issue during busy weekends.
