Irvin E. Sackman, MD

Dr Sackman was actually the doctor who delivered me at birth. There was a course of time when I didn't use Sackman as my primary care provider. Mostly due to insurance coverage and I lived out of state for awhile.

This doctor is great however. Even when not seeing him for a portion of time he still remembers personal detail about me. Which to me indicates Sackman has a good memory, listens well, and facilitates the ability to keep good business practices. This is a great attribute I have not seen in numerous modern doctors. He explains things well, is very straight forward, respectable, and understanding. He has never gave me the impression of being in a hurry to get his patients in-and-out.

Only complaints I have is the scheduling tends to be a little tedious most the time. In the sense if you need to be seen asap for an infection, or a minor issue, it's most likely not going to happen. It's easier to just get into an urgent care. However they are very good about getting you in for unexpected follow-up appointment changes, or issues the doctor has previously seen you for. They usually try as hard as they can to make changes to get you in.

One other complaint is sometimes getting refills in time before I run out of my medications. They sometimes need 3-4 day notices to get them processed for whatever reason (most the time it's ready the next business day). However that's usually only for the prescription I have to personally bring into my pharmacy. And they give me the option to have 3 months worth of written prescriptions to avoid this from happening.

Fantastic doctor and staff. Clean environment. Super accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

Been using Dr Sackman for 15 years, always got me in timely, always respectful, nice clean environment, and just an all around great family physician. I would recommend this office and this Dr to anyone.
