Upstairs toilet was not flushing properly, doing my own research I came up with it might be a blocked vent stack.
Simeon came out, very professional and personable. He stated he doubted that was the issue and upon further discussion said it was probably a piece of a toilet bowl cleaner, we used the Lysol brand. He felt a piece had come off and adhered somewhere down past the bowl. Toilet was removed and rodded out by him and problem solved. He said those types of cleaners are known to do that. Very happy with his service and professionalism. Only slight criticism is that after he has left we noticed that the very bottom of the bowl is now scratched up and hopefully will not begin to rust.
Overall we would use Mr Plumbing again and would also request Simeon again.
Mr Plumbing is fantastic! We had an initial plumber from Mr Plumbing come out and give us an estimate. He did a fantastic job and we wanted him to come back. Unfortunately, he wasn't available but Simeon was (sorry for the misspelling). He did a great job! He was fast, explained what he was doing, gave us tips on how to work with the fridge and even made my wife laugh (she was uneasy about having someone work on the plumbing). It was a great experience and I will definitely call Mr Plumbing again. Thanks guys.

I like this company and they fix things honestly, fully and they respect your premises - so no extra mess or leftover dirt or leftover pipes or anything laying about. They also fix things completely and simply, and explain everything they do. I've tried lots of plumbers who often left to "go buy something" and took hours before returning and want to charge you for all of that time. MR Plumber has everything in their truck already, which I think is far more professional than these other outfits who serve the southwest side of Chicago. So far they've fixed my boiler and a leaking pipe in an awkward place inside of a plaster wall. They even had an expert plaster person come and fix it and paint over it when it was done. Hire them. They are great for old houses.

🏴 Flag as inappropriatePrompt service. Called and they were out within a day even though this was not an emergency. I thought the price was a little high ($275 just to come out to the house), but the estimate was free. I went ahead and had the work done ($400 total which included the the initial fee) and could not be happier with it. Jeff took the time to make sure I was happy with it and make sure we understood what was done and how to get the most life out of the installation. I can not take a star off for price, because I think the quality of workmanship makes up for it.
