  Tried this spot once with my friend and I am addicted since then. I love the great character and flavorful food and beverages. Highly recommended.

  My first time eating in a restaurant since covid started. The restaurant Stringz was empty, clean, and staffed with 3 people by the time I left. I was coming from the gym and quite hungry, after fasting for over 18 hours. I ordered the level 3 (of 4) hell noodles, and shrimp dumplings. The shrimp dumplings were so good, but those noodles, FIRE!!! Oww wee!!! I challenged myself to eat the whole bowl without a drop of water, and succeeded. I only needed 3 sips of water afterwards. I'm bad@$$. Sidenote, I had to eat the noodles without my glasses on because I was in constant tears. Also, I blew my nose no less than 20 times, and I had Noooooooo sinus issues before eating. Will be back again for the hell 4 noodles soon. May even video it. Yes, i got takeout too. The average meal will cost you $10 to $20 dollars. Service at this location (Hyde Park) was very good, and people were getting takeout.

  I visit this spot a lot since I work close by. I must say the customer service is always great and they keep the spot neat regularly. Pricing is reasonable and they serve generous portions.

  Loved this dinner. We've been to the strings on Chinatown before, but didn't like it. Our problem there was we got the seeing thing. This time around we got Tonkatsu and it was awesome. My girlfriend even got the level two spicy and it was great. All the great spicy flavor with a nice low heat to it. We live in Hyde Park and this place is a great addition to the neighborhood. I got the premium and all the meat was good.

  Soft opening right now during 5-10pm. Pretty good bowl for the US. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, and the waiter asked if I wanted pork loin or pork belly—I went for the pork belly.
  
  My highlight was the meat, which was nice and tender. Noodles are fine, just a little too thick for my personal taste. They only give half an egg by default... I guess it looks better in pictures, but I would've preferred an entire egg.
