“I have a Christmas tree that was purchased in 2013 and this past Christmas, when I put the tree up, half of the lights didn't work. I called Costco in Lincoln Park and spoke to a manager and asked if there was any warranty and he said no, but, he added, Costco has 100% satisfaction guarantee so I could return it anytime under that policy. I was barely able to return this tree today, and because of logistics, I had to go to the store in Niles. When I arrived the person that started to help me couldn't, so she got a manager. The name of the manager is Jena, and I explained to her that I had spoken to a manager at the Lincoln Park store and I was told I could return items to Costco under the policy previously mentioned. The manager told me she couldn't honor what Lincoln Park told me and that I would have to return to that store because it would hurt their relationship with the vendor of the tree since so much time has past. I am a reasonable person and never expected to be able to return the tree until the manager at the Lincoln Park store told me I could do so. As it turns out the guarantee isn't for all Costco stores, I called Lincoln Park and spoke to a manager named Amanda who, immediately apologized and told me to bring the tree back to her and that she would take care of me. I went to the store spoke to Roxi and asked if I could speak to Amanda, Roxi called for her and she advised me she was aware I was coming in so she knew what to do. Amanda came over and apologized for the issue and took the tree and refunded me the full amount I paid for the tree, plus an inconvenience fee. I initially was so upset that I was contemplating cancelling my membership, but thanks to the great Customer Service Amanda provided I am once again a happy Customer, but I will never set foot in the Niles store again and I would warn you to choose your warehouse carefully. Thank you Amanda :)”

He really knows his stuff. Gary reminds me of the pharmacist that ran the local corner drug store. He's a true neighborhood guy that cares about every one of his patients. He's a reason to get a membership and join Costco. ”
