Unfortunately normally I would go to places of sort and you would get snobby old grouchy and lazy employees. But not at this facility the people are kind and very helpful ????????????????????????

Staff here are very helpful, I was surprised at how efficient this office was. Awesome.
OK.....OK.....breathe.....like me, you're probably in a place that is quite uncomfortable; and having to go to the unemployment office is not on anyone's "I CAN'T WAIT TO GO THERE" to-do list.
And with that in mind...I personally searched for the office that had the best ratings because I wanted to be treated like a human being. I bypassed 3 unemployment offices near me to get to this one...and let me tell you why.
(1) Go on a Wednesday because you can sign up for your unemployment benefits as well as your medical card and your food assistance online, as Jose from the Public Aid Office will lovingly walk you through the online application.
(2) The WIOA job opportunites and training program is here. You can sign up for a multitude of services to help you get back out there successfully, which can include them giving you an $8,000 voucher to pay for your new career - tuition money that you don't have to pay for.
(3) They are at the door of the Pink Line CTA station and bus station.
Street parking can be found, but you do have to pay for meter parking.
(4) This place is clean......like.....no rancid smells, clear windows, garbage IN the garbage cans inside and outside the office....they way it's supposed to be.
(5) You will not be disappointed by the staff members. From the moment they greet you at the top of the stairs (or elevator) to the moment you have completed all of the paperwork to leave. The amount of respect shown gives you a sense of comfort that does NOT make it painful to be there.
(6) IT'S PILSEN!!! There are plenty of authentic Latino restaurants that will make you feel that you're not in Chicago or the US. Take advantage of the atmosphere as well.
The staff's are very helpful, and nice. They work with a very professional manner.
