Chicken Mole was great. Service was great. Nice atmosphere. The only negative: the air conditioning was way too cold. Wear a jacket.
Love this place. The food is so flavorful, not just "spicy" but depth of flavor. Well crafted, well balanced dishes.
Came here last month together with my family and friends for lunch. This place definitely worth $$$.
What I love is how the flavors are complex and that there are so many different ingredients they used in their dishes. The food is made fresh and they have a whole kitchen and kitchen staff that dedicated to making all dishes perfectly cooked. The menu is extensive with lots of different options and choices.
I loved the service here. All staffs was great. They are very helpful when trying to decide what to order off the menu. The prices of their menu, was on a high price. I would say it was worth it for the quality of food and service.
High quality dining experience in an unpretentious atmosphere. This Mexican family-run spot has become a regular on our rotation. If you mourned the closing of Lincoln Square's Los Nopales, these are the same owners. The food is always delicious. Dinner is always a great time and I think they have the best margaritas in the city. They generally have a rotating special margarita, blood orange is our favorite.
The best part, however, is probably their least known. Brunch. I'm a chilaquiles guy and they have 4 varieties and honestly you could stop there, I usually do, but the rest of their brunch menu is excellent as well.
Go check it out.
Carne Mas Alla del Sol Grilled skirt steak served over a chile morita-tomato sauce, frijoles borrachos, slices of seared Panela cheese, and fried cebollitas, garnished with an avocado relish.

Restaurants, Mexican Edgewater. 5 out of 5 stars. (3user reviews). 1/3. Mas Alla Del Sol. I've been visiting Mas Alla Del Sol for 4+ years. Their menu contains all of the traditional Mexican dishes that I am accustom to as well as some things I had never seen line the lamb shank with corn mashed...
It's no wonder we didn't recognize the place: Mas Alla del Sol has been completely rehauled, with a smooth new maroon exterior and an interior like a Native American longhouse. The Morenos have kept much of the menu in common with Los Nopales, adding booze and some house specialties like...
