    Hidden swamp has a hidden secret in the early summertime....lost cemetery and history of devil worshipping...spooky

    Love coming here to feel like I'm getting away from the city. Good place for a run or dog walk. Pleasant Creek and winding dirt trails with hills. Occasionally see deer and coyotes.

    I mainly pass through this park when riding the North Branch trail. I feel like this place is an underrated treasure. It has great bathrooms, wide open spaces, tons of parking, and lots of lovely places to walk around near the Chicago River North Branch.

    Forest preserve area that offers bathrooms, numerous picnic tables and plenty of parking. There are two large paved areas with a roof covering 8-12 picnic tables (one in the north section, one in the south section). Now with the southern extension of the North Branch Trail completed, it is a more walked, jogged and bicycled area. The circular roadway in the main area is just about 1 kilometer in length, if you are a runner a good place to do laps. Great spot for local festivities due to its location just off of the Edens Expressway at the northeast corner of Foster and Cicero. The Food Truck Festival is one of the highlights of the fall. Recently added Forest Preserve short term rental bicycles. Also a great place for a dog walk!

    Really lovely. Might be buggy during Warner months but mid October was great! Decent bathrooms and covered picnic tables too.
