  Long family friendly park that is great for lave viewing, barbeques, basketball, tennis jogging, bird watching, kite flying, fishing, and Pokemon. Only wish that people would keep their dog on their leash. There is a civil war in Rogers park between off-leash dog owners and a group of pepper-spray welding vigilantes. Loyola Park is a major battlefield where the two sides collide and ruin it for everyone else.

  probably the best park in the city is it located in the North part of Chicago and is always less crowded than any on the parks across the river.
  the parking situation is always okay and you can always find the spot.
  they have grass for barbecue and the beach has a pretty good amount of sand so you can chill anytime you want to.
  it's great for kids families and dogs since most of the time there's nobody there so you can just let your dog run around

  One of, if not, our favorite place in Chicago. I would prefer the lakefront here over any forest preserve. Deserted on slightly chilly days, and hustle and a bustle when it is warm.
  
  Very pup friendly and a lovely stretch to enjoy some time outside.

  What a great escape in the big city! Myself and my husband enjoy this place all the time, mostly in summer of course. The lake scenery is terrific, the place is clean and quite safe, sandy beach is great, the light house is a heart of it, kids are playing here on the playgrounds all the time, you will see people with dogs walking or just sitting on the bench enjoying a cup of coffee. I recommend visiting this place! Good experience.

  There is no better place to enjoy summer in Chicago than Loyola Park and Field House. The picnic grounds are gorgeous and well kept. Plenty of space to barbecue and eat . There is are beautiful baseball and softball diamonds. The playground is spacious and safe for children. The beach area is a postcard each sunny day. The Field House can be reserved for special events and activities for the entire year. There are plenty of outdoor bleacher seats to take in the landscape. Plenty of parking and access to public transportation. Attend!!!!!
