  Haven't been here since 2007 right before I deployed. Went back I the other day and hasn't changed. Still the best neighborhood spot around for good eats.

  If you want the authentic experience. Don’t go to the other Al’s locations. This is the real deal. Best Italian Beef sandwich I’ve ever had. They have so much flavor. Get it wet in it’s delicious gravy. Even the bread holds up to the gravy and beef. Not many places I’ve been too have the bread that holds up. Of course it is where the sandwich was invented. I see a lot of mixed reviews on Yelp. Take it from an Italian beef fanatic. You WANT to go here. Don’t take the advice of people on Yelp.

  Al's has great beef. The beefs here are different than others I've had. To me they seem to have a little more spice to them. I might be crazy but they almost have a cinnamon flavor to them. If I'm not mistaken this Al's is unique in that it slices their beef in house so it is more fresh and tastes better.
