  The pharmacist, Victor went out of his way to get insurance approval for a newly FDA-approved medication for a chronic problem for me. Everyone in the pharmacy was courteous and very helpful throughout the process.

  I've had almost nothing but positive experiences at this location. One major downside is that both the store and the pharmacy are no longer open 24 hrs. I've been shopping at this location for 4-5 yrs, and have only encountered one employee that was not professional and friendly. The one and only employee I've had trouble dealing with was their pharmacist who worked the graveyard shift. I don't remember his name, but he was a little heavy-set with light brown skin. I don't believe he was Indian, but he definitely comes from that part of the world. He was very curt and always seemed irritated when answering simple questions. Even in the early morning when there were no other customers to wait on, he still acted like he was pissed off and too busy to take care of a customer. Considering they're no longer open 24 hrs a day it's possible that he doesn't work there anymore. One of the pharmacy techs in particular was an absolute pleasure to work with, but unfortunately I don't remember her name. She works during the day shift, is white with dark brown hair, multiple ear piercings, and lots of pins and tchatchkes on her tech jacket. If you ever need help in the pharmacy she is the best tech to work with. If the store and the pharmacy were still open 24/7 I would give it 5 stars without hesitation. Between the CVS on the NE corner and Walgreens on the SW corner I would definitely choose the Walgreens. The only 2 advantages that CVS has over Walgreens at that intersection is that CVS is open 24/7 and the shopping bags are free because it's Evanston. Otherwise, Walgreens sells craft/domestic/import beers, liquor, wine, and tobacco/vape products. They also have a much larger selection of items all at a significantly lower price.
