We go here all the time. They have a huge playground, lots of open fields, a pond, a nature area, a field house that hosts special events, and a large outdoor sprinkler for the kid's to play in during the hot summer. They also have all kinds of special events, like dances and dramas in the park.
This is a nice large Park, with lots of things to see and do throughout the park. The Allwood jungle gym is amazing and that alone is worth the trip to this park. There's a splash park and nature walk and just plenty of Open Spaces to run around as well.
A very beautiful Park in my opinion. There's a playground in the middle of the park, on the left, there is a water sprinkler. And also a little pond, although at the summertime time there a lot of mosquitoes. I've lived near the park for more than 3+ years. I visited every day at summer. It's a perfect place for Instagram photos as well. It's a great place to meet people, and interact with the community as well.
My wife and. I visit this park several times a week to see the turtles and gold fish in the pond. This Evening as saw an East Indian dance company performing on the lawn. The park is clean and the people visiting are ethnically mixed.
This is a gorgeous park with lots of beautiful foliage and landscaping along the trail. There are private spaces to rent for activities including a bird/butterfly sanctuary. There is a pond and fountain, tennis courts and ample street parking. Even the design of the playground equipment is beautiful and unique. My first visit was great!
Indian Boundary Park was the second and largest of the four parks created by the Ridge Avenue Park District. The others were Morse (now Matanky), Chippewa, and Pottawattomie. The Ridge Avenue district was the first of 19 neighborhood park commissions established after 1896 to serve areas recently annexed to the city.
