I've come here a few times over the years. It has changed ownership several times. Before it was Ruffolo's, it had another owner/name called El Barrio Fresh Market. This is a small grocer with a good variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. Their other items in the market are limited. But, they have an enormous deli/meat section off to the east side of the market.
While I have not ever bought meat there, they have a great variety of items. Aside from cuts of meats, they also have some prepared meats - fajitas, taco meat, etc. All look good as do the prices.
What brought me here on this day was to try their tacos. Every Tuesday and Thursday they offer three tacos and a drink for $5. The line was pretty long and I was a little concerned I would not have enough time. But, it moved quickly. The menu is up on the wall behind the counter and it was blocked until I got up close to it. They have chicken to beef, pork, and chorizo. They also have skirt steak and some other higher end cuts, but these are no available with the special.
I ordered one chicken, one beef, and one chorizo. I also grabbed a can of cola. All for $5 including tax. Great deal. There are a dozen or so tables in the room. But I think that most people get their food to go, as I did. The tacos are served wrapped in foil to keep them warm.
