Amazing authentic Italian food. Definitely will be my go to spot to eat some fresh Italian food. Prices are reasonable and staff is very professional.

Nice place, tasty food, but one person that works there looks like the boss of the place kept grabbing food with his bare hands after grabbing his cell phone, and other objects. He kept grabbing the pizza slices, after people were looking at him he put the a slice on a plate and put the sliceS he grabbed on a counter and ate a slice near the other pizza slices. No gloves no nothing.

I highly recommend this place! We've been here for a couple of times and we always had an amazing experience and we've never been disappointed. This is a small but a good for a nice and quick meal. The staff in here is friendly and accommodating. They got bunch selection of authentic different Italian foodies. I never had a favorite because I tell you, every food they have are all delicious and authentic. The best part is the prices in here are cheap and you could enjoy their amazing foods. I suggest to have their sandwiches. It is cheap, it has a nice huge portion, fresh and overall delicious.

We just moved to Des Plaines and decided to try Avanti Cafe ( it's in Mt. Prospect but just across the street ). We own a breakfast and lunch place and have had it for 52 years so we always like to support family owned businesses . We loved everything and can't wait to eat there again. Everyone was great and helpful and food was great! I highly recommend Avanti!

My wife is from Italy. We live in Wisconsin and a few times a year we stop in Des Plaines to pick up supplies for our business (Columbus Foods on Oakton, we make soap and cosmetics). We discovered Avanti and my wife likes speaking Italian with Tony, the owner. Everyone is nice there. The food is great and the coffee is freshly-ground and brewed. Love it. Once, when we hadn't seen Tony for a couple months, he even remembered to ask about our son who'd moved to Alaska, and mentioned him by name! Anyway, we're now loyal customers.
