  After deteriorating for years got my 3* review....
  NOW 5*****Western Springs have redone park and is now back to being one of the best ones int the area

  I really like the new playground that was introduced in 2018. It has plenty of things for kids to explore. The playground is well shaded, and a perfect weekend stop.

  An awful lot of construction around the edges. Good amenities, except for bathrooms. Nice tennis courts. Could use a little more supervision.

  Excellent soccer fields. Clean Port-a-Potties. Great parking. Convenient location from expressway. Beautiful older trees for shade and picnics.

  This park, specifically the tennis courts and the bang board is where I began to play tennis. I remember many evenings practicing against that bang board. It was undefeated but taught me to be ready for any shot from any angle, and the spin. Happy to see it is still there in a reincarnation.

Spring Rock Park has several features that are different depending upon the section of the park. The northeast quadrant is the oldest section and has the highest elevation. A large mature stand of a variety of species to include Oak, Elm, Ash and Pine trees provide a base for excellent passive recreation.
