  Love Dr. Verderber. She operated on my daughter's eyes several years ago to make them straight and they are perfect. A few days after the surgery, she came all the way to Hoffman Estates on a Sunday to check on a concern of ours which turned out to be nothing. We have been going to her for years since and she's always so thorough and kind. I highly recommend this practice.

  Absolute BEST! Dr. Verderbeer has taken such good care of my sons eyes. We love this practice. She is thorough and thoughtful. We have been to other practices, this is beyond the best. I travel from an hour away to go to this practice. My sons eyes depend on the best doctor around.

  I am so grateful to Dr. Fishman for providing a comprehensive eye exam for my first grade daughter and encourage your child's first exam be with a pediatric opthamologist and not an optometrist....
  
  I took my daughter to My Eye Dr. (formerly Spex) on Green Bay Road. I was told my daughter had pressure behind one eye, which is unusual, and was told it might be glaucoma. My daughter's vision was found to be 20/20. She was found to have a mild stigma. The optometrist said to come back in six months.
  
  I'm glad my intuition told me to get a second opinion. I knew my daughter wasn't enjoying reading, even avoiding the library. We were referred to Drs. Fishman and Verdeber of Pediatric Eye Associates.
  
  Dr. Fishman found there was no pressure behind her eye whatsoever; and, this poor kid has been working really hard to keep her eyes somewhat focused to try and read. Her "farsightedness" (which I've learned is how you see when your muscles are relaxed) was so bad that Dr. Fishman compared it to needing the strongest cheaters offered at Walgreens. No wonder she doesn't enjoy reading! It was fatiguing her eyes leaving her discouraged.
  
  Dr. Fishman was thorough and informative, describing everything she was doing during the exam and explaining the results in a way Sarah and I could understand. She "gets" kids and was so patient and kind. I was impressed with her degree from Cornell: she is one smart lady.
