(February 16, 2016, 4:53 pm)It's great to have a new Lurie outpatient center in Northbrook. This facility seems well run and organized, with 4 check-in desks (and a check-in kiosk that's not ready yet but that they're preparing to launch in the near future), but wait times do vary, even if you have an appointment. The waiting room is great. The nurses were courteous and friendly to both our teen and elementary age child. We met w/Dr. Grayhack (orthopedic doctor) for one child; he is great, extremely knowledgeable, and took his time to explain everything to us. We had two kids get x-rays here at different times, and they were performed very quickly and efficiently. So far a very good experience, and so much better than driving in to Chicago to get Lurie-quality care.
