Family Dental Care of Oak Park: James E. Scapillato, DDS

I love this place. The staff and Dr. James E. Scapillato are wonderful and friendly. I was so scared to get my teeth whitened, I haven’t done it in a few years. Clelia was super nice and made me feel comfortable. She did a great job covering my gums so that the material wouldn’t burn my gums during the whitening treatment. They did such an amazing job on my teeth. I would recommend everyone to go here.

My experience with Dr. Scapillato and his staff has always been good. I would say great but it is a dentist office and who really likes to go to the dentist. However, I do not mind going to see Scap. Appointments begin on time so there is minimal waiting. I have Parkinson's Disease, but he is able to work with my dyskinesia. My extended family also goes to see him. In fact, he and his family have become part of our extended family.

I was very relaxed and the staff made me feel more comfortable than I have ever felt in a dentist office. The dentist was amazing to calm my anxiety and helped me too relax.

It's hard to find a genuinely good and kind person, let alone a dentist! Dr. Scapillato really cares about the well being of his patients and will take the time to explain and discuss your treatment and answer any questions. In my case, he tried to see if the problem was fixable otherways before resorting to a root canal and it worked! Other dentists would not have done this. They wouldn't have taken the time nor would they want to when they could simply choose the more lucrative option for themselves. I recommend my wife go here after her horrible experience at Dental Works. You will be hard pressed to find a better dentist. Thank you very much, Dr Scapillato!
