“I have been seeing Dr. Russell with our 2 grandchildren for 8 years (since infancy for both). One child is autistic and has also needed surgery so we have been through some more serious scenarios with this physician as well as the "usual" childhood issues. In all my interactions I have never found the office, nursing staff or Dr. Russell to be anything other than professional, kind and helpful. One true test of a physician, in my opinion, is if they treat you as part of the team treating your child, respecting your concerns/thoughts. Dr. Russell, does not bully or shame you when you do not not agree with a suggested treatment plan or prefer to move a little slower, etc. She works with you on alternatives if at all possible. She understands kids and understands parents/parenting. As far as her office, I've never called and not been greeted by a friendly, kind voice and things are handled well and promptly. Rare in this day and age of medicine, that truly makes this office unique, is that you just about always speak to a PERSON or phone calls are returned in a reasonable time, even on the weekend. You do not have to leave 3 voice mails and wait and worry while their temp climbs higher or the vomiting won't stop and then end up in the ER because no one got back to you. These are physician(s) that want to know what is going on.”
