I recently received a class schedule (non-credit) brochure in the mail from Harper College and found a mosaic class taught by artisan and glass artists Urii Guchenia and Nathalie who has her very own studio in Willowbrook. The class was very inexpensive and well worth it! Kristin the librarian was very efficient in sending us a friendly email reminder along with the campus map to find the building where the class was. The class was held in “The Make Shop” within the library. All supplies were furnished and setup for us. Nathalie and Urii gave a us brief history of glass mosaics and were so helpful while we created our pieces. They had a vast array of glass tiles in every color imaginable! It was so much fun and gave us all a whole new appreciation of mosaic artisanry!
