  Need less staff parking...
  Need more customer parking...
  Need more mind-body classes...
  Pool director needs to be more attentive to his pool related duties....
  Academic credit mind-body class not worth it... Go to the membership included classes instead...
  
  Outside contractor run facility... Outside contractor director not very customer service oriented...
  
  Director needs to be less stingy with complimentary passes

  For a College gym, this place is on point!! The pool and respective facilities are what you'd expect from a private gym. Its a bit pricey, even for Palos residents but they offer off-peek-time pricing. They even have children daycare for members for when they're getting their sweat on!

  THE best gym in the area, much better than the smelly and dirty X-Sport. People and the staff are very friendly and actually want to make sure you have the best gym experience possible. The pool is absolutely beautiful and brand new, Olympic pool size! Plenty of weights and machines upstairs as well as cardio-based stuff. Plenty of free awesome classes taught by professional trainers and coaches and all you gotta do is just walk in, no sign ups required! Plenty of parking space. Veterans pay roughly $34 a month. I think the regular monthly cost is roughly $40. Steam room is both Male and Female bathrooms, plenty of locker space, and plenty of shower rooms you can use.

  They keep the place spotless, no worries there. Plenty of equipment. The track is a bit short for comfortable running, but very few indoor tracks are really long enough to prevent sharp turns. The only real beef I have with FitRec is that I was told they have a "lap pool", and what they really have is happy-happy-fun-time pool with occasional lap swim times. If you are going there for swimming, be prepared to alter your schedule around theirs - especially if you start work too early to be able to go before work.
