  Great place for a hike with a surprising number of trails. You can hear traffic all the time but we are not too far from Chicago. It also has feilds in picnic areas. It's really more than tree's. I have gotten ticks here multiple times...that means it must have something to keep people coming back!

  This is by far my favorite breakfast joint. Everyone is so friendly and kind. Been going here for years and now it is newly remodeled and looks amazing! Thank you to everyone who owns, runs, and works here. It always feels like family.

  Had a pleasant walk. Enjoying nature with the quietness. Definitely coming back.

  Nice, clean place. Good for picnic and stuff. They have trails in the woods. You can run or ride a bicycle. You can also rent a bicycle there. Went there fishing but didn't catch anything.

  Say what you will about Cook Co politics, the forest preserve system spends our tax dollars well. I enjoyed taking the dog on a hike and was impressed by how well-maintained the grounds were. I didn't feel unsafe going around dusk, and there were plenty of people jogging or riding bikes, plus you have the forest preserve police force HQ nearby and they patrol the area. The best part is Salt Creek!
