  This area is on my route to work everyday, simply because I love driving through it. I could drive down Cicero or 57 but I love the wilderness and the forest surrounding the large open prairie. The Cook County Forest Preserve as a whole does a great job in maintaining their natural zones.

  One of the great restoration projects in the Cook County Forest Preserve. Bobolinks and many other ground nesting birds are special visitors. Volunteers are always needed!
