The nice thing about a small place is the ability for your family member to become very well known by all of the staff and other residents. This leads to a continuity of care that you will not find in a big facility. It is so important for the residents to have staff know each individuals preferences and dislikes alike. To anticipate their needs. It makes the pt/resident feel as if they are a part of the family there which they are. Many of the staff have been employed by Pershing Gardens for many years so they are very knowledgeable about how to make the culture there an upbeat place to be. It seems everyone cares about everyone and that is a great culture to be immersed in. The Nurses are well trained, and the activity director is a gem who's love of people radiates to all around her. And the cleaning staff works so very hard to keep Pershing fresh and clean.
