    I purchased the Fellowes 99CI Jam Proof Model for a specific shredding job. I had 7 file boxes full of health insurance information, bank statements, credit card statements, business and personal tax filings and information from my former employer. All of which had my personal information and in some cases social security number for all interested parties to view. These records dated back to 2003 and I had been toting them around everywhere because it wasn't cost effective for a contractor to do the job.

    In one week's time working about one hour a day shred everything and relieve myself of the burden of storing this potentially damaging information. Needless to say that these days most of my records are stored on the cloud and I don't print things unless I really need them.

    The Fellowes 99CI Jam Proof is just that as long as you don't overload it with too many sheets and learn where the sensors are so you feed in the right place. There was a bit of a learning curve to go through so in the beginning it was jamming, but I attribute that to the operator's (yours truly) lack of skill. Later in the process it was jamming less as I was learning how to work with it. With regard to overheating it wasn't a problem, I was able to feed continuously for as much as an hour. If I wanted to do more I would leave it for an hour or so and it would be good to go.

    I'm very pleased with the quiet operation as well and its very durable. For a $209 investment at Sam's Club its turned out to be a superior value. I don't think I'll be needing to replace it anytime soon.

    I have had this tool for a little while now and I am pleased to say that it has out performed my previous machine....It is quieter, faster, cleaner, and more efficient.
    I would recommend this device especially for its price point....

    I only hope it continues in this fashion for a while....
