They are very polite and most professional then other municipals. Lesniak is good officer we need more good police work like burr ridge. maybe other municipalities need to learn a thing or 2. I’ve dealt with other towns throughout the surrounding suburbs all the way down to southwest Chicago suburbs. i look out for people and help people call things in if someone needs help. I’m just a civilian but I like helping people however I can. If we had people think the same way I think we would be okay.
Situation professionally handled!
I first called the non emergency number and the staff member I spoke to was polite. I was then transferred to the emergency dispatcher and she was very professional. The officer arrived within minutes and he was also very professional.
I looked at some of the previous reviews and didn't encounter any of the mentioned issues. The officer was not out to get me, he did not ring me up for "money" or "interrogate" me.
Instead the officer stood out in the the rain for roughly fifteen minutes in fourty degree weather, getting soaked I might stress, unlocking my car for me. He fixed my mistake and retrieved my keys out of the driver seat when everyone else would have told me to look somewhere else or charge an arm and a leg. Then on top of everything, the officer even had the consideration to ask if I wanted to get out of the rain and stay warm while he helped me.
I am not an Illinois tax payer and I have never lived in the area. This department owed me nothing, and they certainly were not obligated in any way to help me, yet they put their best foot forward for someone that most departments would have waved off, and I can't do anything but respect that.
BRPD,
My profession used to put me in a position to call law enforcement pretty often in the Detroit and Ann Arbor area. I have had contact with at least nine different local Departments and two sheriffs departments, most of them multiple times. I have never come across this level of professionalism in all areas of the public eye. A few came close, but most didn't even make half the grade.
My only suggestion is that you keep up this level of service for your community, and remain a department that others should try to model.
